This is a scanner image and does NOT do these crystals justice. This is only part of a large collection we have just acquired that was mined in 1962-1963 at the Cruziero mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. These crystals are as they came from the vault in Minas, where they sat for 35 years. Some have been repaired, some repaired by nature in the pocket, and some without any indication of work by anyone. When backlit these crystals are amazing! The colors of blue - green, pink, red, and green, are deep and beautiful. Hopefully the individual pictures show these specimens to better advantage, though the little digital camera I have to use is woefully inadequit for detail on larger objects such as some of these crystals.
